Nanocomp is a company that manufactures micro- and nanophotonics and its headquarters are located in Finland. The company has subsidiaries in California and Hong Kong and in addition two sales offices in Japan and Israel. The newly founded subsidiary is located in the city of Dongguan, the Province of Guangdong in southern China. The company continues its strategy to expand its business on the global market. The company’s business consists mainly of export of goods.
“Asia plays an important role to us. Over 90 % of our current turnover comes from Asia and mainly from China.It is only natural that we work close to our customer”, says Veli-Pekka Leppänen, the CEO of Nanocomp Oy Ltd.
“We believe that our future growth will come particularly from China and its nearby areas such as Taiwan. Our company focuses on ultra thin illumination solutions for displays and our most important customers and supply chains are found in Asia”, outlines Matti Eronen, VP, Sales and Marketing of Nanocomp Oy Ltd.
The subsidiary in China will first concentrate on sales and serving existing customers. “The existing production will stay in Finland. We are not moving our production to China. Operations, which are connected for example to post-processing or require manual assembly might be located in China in the future,” confirms Leppänen.
